Steller Systems will be presenting at the 13th International Naval Engineering Conference and Exhibition (INEC) on Tuesday 26th May 2016. Four of Steller Systems’ naval architects and systems engineers will present a paper entitled “Humanitarian Operations: Not a Grey Area” which discusses the implications of developing a dedicated vessel for humanitarian operations.
The paper draws together arguments for and against the development of one or more dedicated vessels, and discusses the requirements for such a vessel type and potential operating models. The financial implications of this approach are estimated, based on the cost of recent humanitarian operations, to demonstrate that such an approach is financially viable. Finally, a concept design for such a vessel is presented in order to demonstrate how the benefits outlined above can be realised.
The conference, which is organised by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), takes place from the 26th to the 28th May 2016 in Bristol, UK.

Steller Systems has officially unveiled its design for Project 75, an innovative 75m super yacht, at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.
The design is the result of a unique collaboration between Steller Systems, RMD Marine and Andrew Weir Yacht Management, combining naval engineering and ship design, world-class luxury design from the yachting world, and a super yacht management perspective.
Project 75 was designed ‘from the keel up’ to provide wide open spaces, unsurpassed passenger comfort, innovative environmental features and attributes typically seen only on far larger vessels.
The innovative design approach used was recently the focus of a feature in Boat International.
