Steller Systems was very pleased (and surprised!) to be mentioned in parliament on Tuesday during a debate on increasing employment and training.
To quote Siobhan Baillie MP: “A constituent told me today that his daughter had an incredible work placement last week at Steller Systems in Nailsworth. It is a naval architecture company, so that is quite cool. She had a brilliant time learning with the staff in a highly specialist area; they did not need to give their time, but they did, and she will no doubt benefit from that for the rest of her career. We need to normalise those opportunities throughout the country.”
Over the years Steller Systems has provided work experience placements and internships to a number of school, college and university students. We recognise the role we all must play in developing the next generation of engineers and showing them how interesting and rewarding a career in naval architecture and marine engineering can be.
